The music is mostly a DIY cigarbox guitar going into MI Beads and then into oooooo on norns for the looping (or the other way around).
The video is a time lapse I made some time ago, where I forgot to set everything to manual. This resulted in continuous flickering, which turned out to work really well with the eerie atmosphere of the music.
The music is an extract from an asyncrhonous looping (using oooooo on norns) improvisation with the cigarbox guitar and the Arturia Microfreak, revolving around sparse texture, with slowed/pitched down loops.
This is a collage of randomly-recorded loops. Years ago I built this circuit-bent monster from a Casio SK-1. Over the years I’ve recorded many sounds and loops from it, which I have now started to arrange into tracks. The beat is the only thing that was not created using the SK-1. It was put together using slowed-down versions of the preset samples found in Ableton. I like how it adds a sort of trip hop vibe to the track.
